A City to Love

Seattle is comprised of 14,000 acres of rights-of-way, over 25% of the urban environment. How can we enhance the ecological, cultural and social function of these shared public spaces while increasing their capacity as our city rapidly expands? A group of real estate thought leaders, faculty from the UW College of Built Environments (including Associate Prof. Rick Mohler)  and students pursuing Master of Science in Real Estate traveled to Auckland, New Zealand last spring to study measures taken to more fully utilize their rights-of-way and assess the ensuing results.

Join us for a presentation of their findings on July 18 at the Center for Architecture & Design.
