Admissions

The Department of Architecture offers several degrees that all follow the department's mission to advance architecture through responsible practice, the development of architectural knowledge, and service to local and global communities.

The undergraduate degree is a four-year B.A. in Architectural Design. The accredited M Arch comprises two streams: candidates with a B.A. or B.S. in architecture join the two-year program; those with degrees in other fields join the three-year program. Also available is a dual degree M Arch - MLA degree.

In addition, the department offers three advanced specialized degrees. The MS in Architecture includes concentrations in Design Computing and Architectural History/Theory. Also available is the M Arch in High Performance Building, a post professional degree. Finally, the College of Built Environments offers a Ph.D. in the Built Environment.

The Department of Architecture has about 98 undergraduates students, 180 graduate students, 41 faculty, in addition to many Emeritus, Adjunct, Affiliate faculty and visiting practitioners.
